Home Visits

The key to pastoral care at St. Paul’s is a team made up of both clergy and lay members. The Rector and members of the Pastoral Care Team work together to see that visits are made, flowers are given, prayers are said.  Please let the church know when there is a hospitalization or any other pastoral need.

Lay Eucharistic Visitors assist the clergy in taking communion to parishioners who are unable to attend services at church. Invited by the Rector, LEVs receive special training from the rector in addition to attending a one-day diocesan workshop. After licensing they are scheduled to visit the sick and infirm of the Parish on a regular basis, usually on Sundays.  They carry traveling communion kits and conduct a brief service with scripture readings and prayers before the Eucharist. Their ministry is a reminder that sharing the eucharist is the responsibility of the whole church.
