Stacey Stuart ( 2013)

Stacey is a year round resident of Nantucket and a lifelong Episcopalian. Born and raised in Southern Pines, North Carolina, she first came to Nantucket in 1978 and immediately fell in love with this beautiful island. She left the island in 1985, and her travels took her to Texas, Minneapolis and South Carolina.

In 1998 Stacey’s life brought her back to the island and in 2005, she discovered that her family dates back to a direct descendent of Tristram Coffin. She believes this might explain why, from the first time she arrived on the island, she felt Nantucket was home.

Stacey has worked as the Special Events Manager at the Nantucket Historical Association since 2002. Her love of the island keeps her active in many aspects of the community - where she willingly helps promote and support the island, and is currently serving her third term on the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors - where she can combine her enthusiasm for Nantucket, history, and hospitality.

In 2009, it was with great happiness that Stacey married Peter J. Greenhalgh, and they reside in Polpis. Stacey enjoys cooking, being outdoors - especially on the water, and entertaining friends with Peter at their home.
