Sunday School
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Nantucket offers Sunday School classes nearly every Sunday morning during the regular church service. There are a number of different age groups to choose from. We have a nursery program for children ages (), a “Godly Play” class for ages (), an upper elementary school class, and a middle school – early high school class.
The middle and high school program is loosely structured around a curriculum which fosters discussions guided by a series of open-ended, text-related questions. We use multiple types of media and discussion to help the youth begin to see the Bible as a vital, dynamic relevant resource--one that can inform them throughout their lives.
Confirmation Class
Every other year or so St. Paul’s Church offers a confirmation class for teenagers who are discerning their place and role in the Church community. This is a comprehensive program which encourages each individual to study the Christian faith and religion as well as others. We help the confirmation students to look deeply into what they believe and why in order to make the best and most responsible decision for themselves concerning their place and role in the Church community.
Youth Group
The St. Paul’s Youth Group is for 6th graders and up. We meet regularly to play games, go on lots of fun and challenging adventures and outings, watch movies, community service projects, share meals, engage in a ridiculously wide variety of discussion, and generally have as much fun as we can while building community and working together as we continue on our spiritual journeys.
Jr. Youth Group
Jr. Youth Group is a program set up for the upper elementary age kids who also want to have fun and build a community of young Episcopalians. We meet after church about once or twice a month.
